The Parthenocarpic Flocculation Compound (PFC™) is a non-ferric-based compound designed specifically to recover feed grade quality proteins, fats, and carbohydrates (biosolids) from the processing/waste water generated at food processing facilities. Unlike other commercially available flocculation compounds, PFC™ has been shown not to degrade the recovered biosolids with residual chemicals that can make the reclaimed nutrients undesirable for use in livestock rations. PFC™ has also been shown to be very effective in concentrating the soluble phosphorus often found in food plant-generated processing water into the reclaimed nutrients, thereby helping to prevent the discharge of excessive and potentially damaging amounts of phosphorus into the environment.
